Apple Studios is really levelling up after their catalogue is picking up in a huge way. Since Ted Lasso, a Apple TV+ Original garnered seven Emmy Awards, it’s time for Apple+ to compete with bigger OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar.

The platform engaged in a strong bidding war with the likes of Netflix and Prime Video in order to secure Jon Watts’ upcoming thriller. The unnamed project is going to feature Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who are one of the most accomplished names in Hollywood.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Watts will write, produce and direct the movie, with Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment & Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures lending a hand. Watts’ is known for directing Spiderman: Far From Home & that upcoming Spiderman: No Way Home. Deadline adds that the deal also includes a massive theatrical release, all of which works in the favor of Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ has managed to get massive projects for the platform such as Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio and Antoine Fuqua’s Emancipation, with Will Smith.
