Becky Lynch is a heel champion on SmackDown after her surprising return at SummerSlam. As Ringside News exclusively reported, that return was the result of plans changing and then changing again. Now she is back and some have already noticed Lynch borrow from another heel, Conor McGregor.

While speaking to WWE The Bump, Becky Lynch compared herself to Notorious a bit. She was accused of ducking Bianca Belair, but the SmackDown Women’s Champion made it clear that even Conor McGregor wouldn’t take a fight on an hour’s notice.

“Look, would you expect Conor McGregor to take a fight on an hour’s notice? No! He needs his training camp. He needs his fighting camp. I need my fight camp. I haven’t had my fight camp.”

“I call the shots. I say when I’m gonna have my match. When I fight, it’s a big event. I don’t want to throw that away willy-nilly. I need to give people time to tune in, not just drop it on them. But now, I have to wait until Extreme Rules, so I robbed the people last week. That was my fault? It was her fault. It was Sonya Deville’s fault. It was Adam Pearce’s fault. It wasn’t my fault.”

Conor McGregor is rather unpredictable, and that recent run-in with Machine Gun Kelly is proof of that. In the meantime, Becky Lynch will continue doing her thing on the main roster and drawing inspiration from wherever she can.
