WWE Hall of Famer and current Hollywood star Dave Bautista is a sought after actor in the business. Batista made a name for himself by portraying the role of Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film franchise. Batista always wanted a movie based on his character but it never came to fruition, which Marvel didn’t really find any need in, much to Batista’s dismay.
Batista also previously noted that the third Guardians Of The Galaxy film will be the last fans see of Drax the Destroyer. Batista has finished his work for the film long ago and is busy promoting Dune right now.
While speaking to ComicBook, Batista talked about his upcoming role in the third Guardians Of The Galaxy film and stated that it’s a bittersweet experience for him while giving a small spoiler for the end of the film.
“It’s our third film. We’re going to wrap it up. And it’s been a hell of a journey with a few bumps. So I’m looking forward to this, man. My cast and obviously the director, James Gunn, they’re like family to me. This is kind of where my journey started. It’s come full circle and I’m looking forward to wrapping it up. And it’s a bittersweet… I mean, I’ve been doing Guardians since 2013. And, you know, when this comes out, you know, it’ll be in 2023, so that’s a, you know, 10 year journey.”
We will have to see how the film will turn out to be once it releases in 2023 as fans are waiting to see how the story for their favorite characters will end.
