Robert Pattinson is the new Batman on the block, but he’s not racking in the cash that some thought he might pull in to play the caped crusader. The Twilight actor also only pulled in $3 million for the role.

Pattinson netting $3 million to play Batman might still sound like a lot of money to anyone, but it’s low considering the magnitude of the role. The DC blockbuster will show Pattinson as a young Bruce Wayne in his early years as the vigilante crime fighter. The $3 million payday plus the honor of playing Batman is more than worth it.

The new installment of Batman will also star Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, the man who becomes The Penguin. Paul Dano will take on the role of Riddler and serve as the main villain.

With this payday, Pattinson is now the 17th highest paid actor in Hollywood. Variety now lists Robert behind other top stars like The Rock, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and Daniel Craig.

Let’s get to know each other. Me? Well, I have a master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University, but I don’t really like to talk about that. I was a stand-up comedian for eight years, but I don’t really like to talk about that either. I write a lot. I once worked for a company that writes blurbs for online gambling games. Those paid $.75 each. So, if you frequent that kind of thing, then you’re welcome for the description for Biker Chicken Slots or Crazy Granny’s Scratchers. I wish I had more to tell, but due to my crippling anxiety and Tourette’s Syndrome, that has become increasingly worse over the years, I tend to keep to myself.
