WWE Hall of Famer and current Hollywood star Dave Bautista is one of the most sought after actors in the business right now. He made a name for himself by portraying the role of Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film franchise. Batista always wanted a movie based on his character but it never came to fruition, which Marvel didn’t really find any need in, much to Batista’s dismay.

Marvel’s latest TV series is the What If series which features the classic MCU characters in different situations compared to the movies. Batista recently took to Twitter and claimed that he was never asked by Marvel to lend his voice as Drax in the series.

Let’s start with I was never asked.

This prompted a response from Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn, who responded to Batista’s tweet and revealed he couldn’t believe Bautista was never approached by Marvel for the role.

It is not known why Marvel never asked Dave Bautista to lend his voice to Drax in the TV series, but he isn’t the only actor who did not return to the show as Chris Evans also did not lend his voice to his character.
