The NBA is in the offseason, but the league’s players are still making headlines. This is not the kind of press that the New Orleans Pelicans ever wanted for their team.

The team’s center Jaxson Hayes was arrested and hospitalized as a result of brawling with police according to TMZ. This all took place after police showed up on a domestic disturbance call.

It is said that law enforcement showed up at his Los Angeles home on early Wednesday morning. The 21-year-old center was not cooperative in the slightest. This resulted in a brawl with authorities.

The 6’11”, 220 pounder was combative and a fight broke out with cops. He tried to keep them from entering the home, but it was to no avail. He was hit by a taser during the struggle and a “officer needs help” call was made.
