John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

2016’s Suicide Squad film was written and directed by David Ayer. Despite being a Box Office success, grossing over $740 million at the worldwide box office. the film was panned by both fans and critics.

This ultimately led to James Gunn taking charge of The Suicide Squad which is said to be a ”soft reboot” of the 2016 film. The film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, John Cena as Peacemaker and more.

While speaking to Jimmy Kimmel Live. Margot Robbie recalled a hilarious story about John Cena. When she was in her 20s, Robbie had a boyfriend who was obsessed with John Cena and got a cardboard cutout of Cena in his bedroom. She had to sleep for 2 years in that bedroom with the cutout.

“As a late teen, early 20s, I had a boyfriend who was obsessed with John Cena. So much so, that he dressed as John Cena for his 21st birthday and had a cardboard cut-out of John Cena in his bedroom. So I slept in a room for two years with a life-size cardboard cut-out of John Cena in the room [laughs].

“I remember thinking, ‘I wonder if now that I’m going to work with John Cena, should I tell him [the cardboard cut-out story] or is that going to be weird?’ And I thought, ‘I’m just going to keep that to myself, I’m not going to tell him. That would be a weird way to start our working relationship and friendship.’ Then five seconds into meeting him, I was like, ‘I used to sleep in a room with a life-size cut-out of you.'”

Many fans are also wondering whether the film will redeem itself after the abysmal prequel movie. We will have to see how the film turns out to be as it is set to release on August 6th, 2021.
