2018’s Aquaman starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman/Arthur Curry had a tremendous reception, both critically and commercially and was touted as one of the best films produced under the DCEU banner. It has earned over $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the most successful DCEU film currently.
The sequel to the film, Aquaman 2, will see Momoa reprise his role of Arthur Curry and also Amber Heard will be returning to portray Meera, which fans certainly aren’t too happy about. Willem Dafoe is also likely to return as Vulko.
Jason Momoa previously revealed that the film will start production this month as well and that he is involved in writing the script. The film requires every actor to be in the best physical shape possible and Amber Heard certainly takes it seriously.
Amber Heard recently took to Twitter and uploaded a video of herself showing off her insane gymnastic skills while training for Aquaman 2.
Flipping out #Aquaman2
While many are against Amber Heard appearing in the film, it is unlikely she will be removed from it. The film is slated to release in December of 2022 and we will have to see if it will far surpass the original in every way.
