Hugh Jackman had his time as Wolverine, but then he bid that part farewell with a gritty spin-off that seemed to put a bow on his character. Things could have changed now that the X-Men property is in Disney’s hands.

Jackman made fans perk up and pay attention recently, especially those fans who are hoping to see him return as the moody mutant. This all went down on Instagram and the hints he dropped were a bit easy to decipher.

The famous actor posted some Wolverine art on his Instagram story. That wouldn’t have drawn nearly as much attention, but then he followed it up with a second photo. Hugh Jackman posted a photo of himself with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. That man can pull some serious stings when it comes to casting Wolverine.

Fans thought that Jackman hung up his claws after 2017’s “Logan.” That bittersweet tale was something to behold, but there are plenty of stories to tell. Even if Wolverine makes a cameo in a new MCU X-Men movie, it needs to be Jackman.

It only makes sense that the MCU would want Hugh Jackman. Nobody would be able to play Wolverine without fans saying, “they’re not as good as Hugh Jackman.” Now those fans might not have that sticking point to complain about. We’ll have to see if this is more than a photo-op … stay tuned.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
