WWE has a few pay-per-view ideas that they haven’t used in a long time. Fans are clamoring for another King of the Ring tournament and that could be coming soon. The company is reportedly considering a return of another fan favorite theme.

The company hasn’t held a Cyber Sunday event since 2008. That pay-per-view was main evented by Batista vs Chris Jericho with Stone Cold Steve Austin as special guest referee. The company might not be able to get any of those people to come back, but they are considering another event like the Cyber Sunday show.

According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, WWE is considering a few themed events. King of the Ring is one of them, and a “Viewer’s Choice” event could be compared to the Cyber Sunday idea. If that happens it’ll take place around 2022 or late 2021.

Hearing WWE is potentially looking at more ‘themed’ live shows upon returning to the road. Old School RAW, KOTR tourney, Viewers Choice ala Cyber Sunday all possible for late 2021, early 2022.

WWE has many options up their sleeves to entice fans to tune in on television and buy tickets to see the show live. Perhaps a return of live fans to WWE events in July will encourage Vince McMahon to book shows with a bit more interest attached to them.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
