Jake Paul made it his life’s mission to play the role of a very annoying and punch-worthy character and taking part in big money matches that break records. This includes going after Tyron Woodley, which ultimately led to the match in the first place.

After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a boxing match for Showtime Boxing on August 28th.

While speaking on the post-UFC 263 press conference, UFC President Dana White was asked about Jake Paul stating that UFC was not able to sell a million pay-per-views as the Paul brothers do.

Jake? The other brother? Jake didn’t do a million [PPV buys]. His brother did a million. Him and Floyd did a million. Last time we did a press conference I told you all that Triller stuff is a bunch of bullshit. They’re lying, their numbers aren’t what they claim. [Logan and Floyd] really did that number, that’s a real number. They did that. Jake didn’t do that. Logan and Floyd did, and good for them. That’s a real number, they really did that, and good for them.”

Dana White then responded to Tyron Woodley’s claims that he will be getting paid more money than Woodley ever made in the UFC, in his boxing match against Jake Paul. White would dismiss those claims and state that they are full of ‘s***.’

“I’ve been hearing that bullshit forever, they’re all full of shit. What’s he making? Exactly. If it’s that much money and he’s so proud of how much it is, how much is it? They’re all full of shit.

But that’s how you hype up a fight too. I keep not wanting to do this. Tyron Woodley is forty years old. He hasn’t won a fight in three years. In something that he’s actually supposed to be good at. And now he’s going to go box. How do you sell that fight? Lots of other things other than the shit that should matter. ‘I’m making millions of dollars. This is the biggest payday ever.’ Jake Paul will say mean things about me. ‘Pay your fighters.’ And you guys will get right into it and love it. It’s all bullshit. All a bunch of bullshit.”

There is no doubt that Woodley is Jake Paul’s toughest opponent yet and fans are excited to see what will happen when the two face off. It is still very likely the two will be receiving a huge payday, even if Dana White doesn’t believe it.
