LeBron James and the LA Lakers didn’t last long in the NBA Playoffs this year. He promised vengeance, but fans had to call him out on that as well.

While posting a video from the Oscar-winning film Gladiator, LeBron James included a caption that made his intentions very clear. He intends to get even on any team who slighted the Lakers and eventually regain their crown.

PROMISE YOU I WILL. Count me out if you want too! #TheManInTheARENA🏟#ThekidfromAKRON

Rob Parker was one person who took an opportunity to rip on King James. He said on his FS1 show of the post:

“Sounds kind of lame to me. Dude, why? After all he’s accomplished, he’s a great player, he doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody does he? Really?” Parker ranted on The Odd Couple. “You got knocked out of the playoffs, your big guy was hurt. Dude you won a championship last year, just go out quietly, just fade out. Work on it yourself, you don’t have to tell anybody. You don’t have to send out lame videos and video clips, let your resume speak for itself.

“I just don’t get it, after all he’s accomplished he still feels like he has to prove something. How do you consider yourself the GOAT if you have to prove something to somebody?”

Other fans had to remind James that he just got over an NBA Playoffs series where he was known as #LeFlop for an entire game after taking a bell-first fall onto the court. We’ll have to see if the Lake Show is really able to pull things together, but they have the entire offseason to pull something off.

Will the LA Lakers get revenge for their fails NBA Playoffs run? Sound off in the comments!

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
