The LA Lakers lost their first-round playoff game against the Phoenix Suns, 90-99. That nine-point defeat for LeBron James’ team caused fans to dub him with a new nickname.
LeBron was also a bit shaken up after he took a hard fall to the court. That flop caused him earn a new nickname, but the Lakeshow’s big loss to the Suns really put it over.
Fans tweeted out “LeFlop” so much that it trended. Some fans mocked James for taking that hard fall to the floor as he did after Chris Paul collided with him over a loose ball. Others were simply mocking the Lakers’ performance.
“LeBron James better than Michael Jordan?” one fan asked. Others were a bit more direct as one fan illustrated by saying: “you are such a BITCH King James!”
LeBron and his Lakers will have another chance to redeem themselves on Wednesday as they take on the Suns once again. Hopefully, he won’t end up trending for all the wrong reasons again.
