Manny Pacquiao is making his return to boxing to face Errol Spence Jr on August 21st in Las Vegas. That night is a busy one for Sin City, because WWE SummerSlam is also in town. According to reports, WWE is making concessions for that big fight.

Odds are Pacquiao and Spence Jr won’t hit the ring until 11:30 PM at the latest, maybe even midnight. WWE’s SummerSlam event is usually a longer show, stretching over four hours. This year will be a bit different.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning to end the SummerSlam event with enough time for fans to make their way to the big fight if they are in Las Vegas.

WWE already had plans to run SummerSlam in Las Vegas on August 21st prior to the big fight’s announcement. This was just an instance of bad timing, but WWE is making it work.

SummerSlam has a listed start time of 8:00 PM right now, one hour later than usual as of late. It’s unknown why it is starting later this time. They can have a kickoff show as well, but that would take place prior to 8:00 PM. It is expected to be around a three hour show this year because they don’t want the huge boxing competition.
