WWE decided to release six Superstars this week. They also informed the roster about this in a way that they have never done before. The company sent out a mass text to inform the roster that six of their coworkers are now unemployed.

There are heavy rumors that WWE might be preparing the company for sale. That could be a reality as even more releases are expected in the next couple of weeks.

Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were all cut today. Some of those people wanted to leave the company.

PW Insider got ahold of the text that all Superstars received. It was very short and to the point. The intention was to inform the roster about the releases and nothing more.

Due to Budget cuts the following talent were released today. Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Aleister Black. – John Laurinaitis

This text message from John Laurinaitis is an interesting way to go about things. WWE Superstars have never received a mass text about releases before. Hopefully, the company won’t release anyone else as they continue achieving record profit, but that seems like wishful thinking at this juncture.

Who is WWE going to release next? Sound off in the comments!

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
