Former wide receiver Chad Johnson used to play in the NFL as part of the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and the Miami Dolphins. He is also known to be a very generous human being and continues to show that for the world to see.
On Saturday, the former NFL player took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of his his latest generous tip. Truly living up to his name, Johnson gave a tip of $1000 for a $4.28 bill at Houston’s Turkey Leg Hut.

Johnson’s caption was a reference to a scripture which places importance on philanthropy, reading: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
This generous tip isn’t the only one he gave recently, as Johnson gave a $1,000 tip for a $37 meal at Havana’s Cuban Cuisine in Cooper City, Florida last week. During a trip to Austin in 2019, Johnson left a 1,405 percent tip at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken as well.
This is certainly a great move by Chad Johnson who truly shows that waiters deserve to be treated like normal human beings and receive proper tips. Of course, Johnson goes above and beyond what anyone else would and we applaud him for his philanthropy.
