Jon Jones is no stranger to verbally burying his opponents and Francis Ngannou received quite a battering on Twitter.

Ngannou said that Jon Jones is a “decision fighter” and has “barely won a fight lately. This caused Jon Jones to fire back with a couple of tweets where he called him out for being a “one trick pony.”

Jones then backed off a little bit because he respects Ngannou. He doesn’t feel the need to crush him verbally to do what he’s been doing since 2011.

A decision fighter? I carried the record for most submissions in the light heavyweight division for many years my friend. You are what we call a one trick pony @francis_ngannou every champion I’ve ever faced punched hard. I see right through you

Honestly @francis_ngannou I really respect you and your story. I really don’t feel the need to have to crush you in a verbal battle to do what I’ve done to everyone since 2011

Jon Jones will fire his verbal missiles wherever he needs to, even if his target is the UFC and Dana White. He had to fight to get paid and that is something he is still doing.

We’ll have to see if all this additional trash talk drives up his asking price, because Jon Jones has made UFC a ton of money by talking people into the building for years.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
