Lil Nas X is currently one of the most highly-discussed rappers in the music industry, but not all of it is for reasons he would like. His latest “MONTERO (Call My By Your Name)” music video made him a huge subject of controversy as he could be seen giving a lap dance to Lucifer in the video. After that, he attended a huge party with Tik Tok influencers, where no one wore masks.

It didn’t end there as Lil Nax X came under fire after footage of his mom begging for money surfaced recently. Now it seems the rapper’s father has come to the defence of his son as he fired back at all the haters.

The rapper’s father Robert Stafford took to Instagram and said that  the rapper does provide for his parents and that when it comes to his mother’s struggles, a lack of support from the rapper isn’t really an issue.

Despite what people say @lilnasx is the greatest kid a parent can be BLESSED with. Although his mom is in a struggle with an addiction she’s STILL a QUEEN and he goes through great lengths to make sure we’re taking care of. Those who have family members and friends dealing with addiction understands that there ain’t enough money you can throw at this situation to make it right. I dont usually address personal issues publicly but felt like this need to be. Please join us in keeping her in your PRAYERS. And to those out there trying to create a false story you wont prosper. #controlthenarrative

Perhaps people were too quick to judge Lil Nas X based on one single video instead of looking at the full picture. Lil Nas X has yet to respond to the fan backlash and it is unlikely he will anytime soon, if ever.
