In 2017, the Greg Daniels-Mike Judge underwent some negotiations about how should it return to the small screen again. After some ripples on Reddit about the show’s then-alleged revival about the Texas-based series, we had no idea about what would be the long-ended show’s future.

On a Reddit AMA however, writer Brent Forrester was faced with the question of the show’s revival and when should fans expect anything. He replied:

I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES. They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I’ve said too much.

While the show ran for a long time with 13 seasons and 259 episodes, it also got 2 Emmys in its bag. It was one of the most consistent shows in terms of quality, so when it ended, a lot of people felt sad. The show even gave us a new character, which was Tom Petty as Luanne’s husband Lucky. That is all the more reason to get this amazing show back on the telly.
