Tiger Woods has made headlines once again after he signed a deal with the video game giant 2K according to which he will be featured in the PGA Tour franchise. Basically, you would be able to play as the golf savant Tiger Woods in the upcoming PGA Tour Games.

It’s great to see Woods getting back into the video game industry, as at one point he was the highlight of all golfing video games as well as simulators. He was all over the PGA Tour series throughout the span of 14 years, from 1999 to 2013. Since then, this would be the first time Tight Woods becomes a player in a video game once again.

However, this time is different from all other as Woods will not only be a character in the franchise. He will be a long term partner in the series as well as serve as the Executive Director of all its PGA tour games from now on. Woods made a statement on the deal, stating:

I am looking forward to making my return to the video game landscape, and with 2K and HB Studios, I’ve found the right partners to make it happen. I’m honored to take part in this opportunity and look forward to sharing my expertise and insights as we build the future of golf video games together.

While the details about how much money is exchanging hands through this deal was not disclosed, Woods made a lot of money in his run with EA games, so this time wouldn’t be any different. By being the Executive Director of the PGA Tour games, he will play an entirely different game altogether.
