Justin Bieber Skipping Out on The Grammy’s After Labeling His Album Wrong

Justin Bieber is joining The Weeknd in NOT going to the Grammys, but for different reasons.

Bieber isn’t going to the Grammys because he was snubbed according to Page Six. He’s not attending because he’s not performing.

He was nominated for four awards, unlike The Weeknd who just wasn’t nominated (so he’s boycotting the ceremony forever). Bieber was unhappy that Changes got a nomination in the pop category and not R&B as he intended. He wrote on Instagram about this decision and criticized the Grammys for putting his record in the Pop category.

“For this not to be put into that category feels weird, considering from the chords to the melodies to the vocal style, all the way down to the hip-hop drums that were chosen, it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B album!”

Justin Bieber later made it clear that he’s grateful for the Grammy nominations. He’s still not attending the ceremony because they didn’t ask him to perform.
