Boxing veteran Roy Jones Jr. seems to be in great shape and desires another boxing match after his all-out war against fellow veteran Mike Tyson.

This time around, Jones Jr. is interested in a UFC legend instead. While speaking to TMZ, Roy Jones Jr. was asked why he doesn’t want to face Mike Tyson in his next match. Here is what he said:

“I think [Mike Tyson is] gonna do a fight with Evander Holyfield. What I’m thinking is I’ll probably fight somebody else.”

Roy Jones Jr. then called out Anderson Silva, stating that he wants a match against one of the greatest MMA athletes of all time.

“Anderson’s available now, I’m available now. So, we’ve been wanting to box for the longest time. Why not me and Anderson go out there and put it on for the people?!”

Jones claimed that during his time, he would have annihilated Anderson Silva. However, now that he is older, Silva’s chances seem better.

“but now that I’m older and I’m older than him … it’s something good to look at now because I think his chances are better now than they ever were before.”

This is certainly an interesting matchup between the two and has been teased for years. We wonder whether Jones Jr. and Silva will eventually clash in what would be a highly-anticipated matchup between two legends.
