FKA Twigs Not Buying Shia LaBeouf’s Apology Over Domestic & Sexual Assault Accusations

Shia LaBeouf was accused of domestic abuse and sexual assault by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs, who filed her lawsuit against LaBeouf in December 2020. FKA Twigs (Tahliah Barnett) has given her first TV interview since she made the accusation.

The amount of gossip that has been surrounding the two is unreal. When he was faced with the accusation, Shia issued an apology where he said:

I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.

When FKA Twigs spoke of the apology in her TV appearance on CBS This Morning, she said:

I think it reminds me of some of the gaslighting I experienced when I was with him — the taking some of the blame, but not all of it and then denying it.

FKA Twigs also discusses what kind of struggles and physical abuse she had to go through with Shia, which was followed by gaslighting. Gaslighting is essentially causing a disruption and blaming it on the other person, so as to force them to doubt themselves. She goes on to say:

There were certain instances where he would push me and then he would say, ‘you fell.’ And I would get really confused… I would think, ‘maybe I did.’
