Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Confesses to $500K Spending Spree on Narcotics

Reality TV personality Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino gained fame from the MTV reality show ‘The Jersey Shore,’ which aired from 2009 to 2012. He has also faced his fair share of internal struggles, especially his trouble with drugs.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight in an interview published Monday. Mike Sorrentino admitted to spending at least $500,000 on cocaine and oxycodone during a tumultuous period in his life.

Sorentico shared that his wild and reckless lifestyle during the show’s peak led him down a dangerous path. He admitted to carrying various substances, including Xanax, Valium, weed, and cocaine, at all times in his Louis Vuitton bag. While initially believing that drugs would enhance his performance and stamina, he eventually became dependent and addicted.

The reality star acknowledged that his addiction issues predated his time on “Jersey Shore,” but the excessive cash he earned from the show escalated his drug use.

“I did spend about half a million dollars on cocaine and oxycodone. I was wild. I was careless. I was reckless, and I fell prey to drug addiction. I was into everything. I had everything on me at all times in my Louis Vuitton bag. Everything.

My life was going by so quickly that, at the time, I made a mistake and I thought it was going to help my performance or my stamina, and for a little bit, I have to say, that it did.

But eventually I became dependent and I became addicted on these substances.”

In 2015, Sorrentino took a pivotal step toward recovery by checking into rehab, and he has remained sober since then. He credits his wife, Lauren, for helping him stay clean. We certainly hope he keeps clean forever now, at least for the sake of his family.
