Chucky Season 3 Back in Action After Hiatus

Great news for Chucky fans! Production on the remaining episodes of Season 3 has officially resumed.

The series creator, Don Mancini, took to social media to share the exciting update, posting a snapshot from the set alongside the young stars of the show. With the caption “BACK AT IT #CHUCKY,” Mancini let the world know that Chucky Season 3 is back on track and picking up where it left off.

The first four episodes of Chucky Season 3 had previously aired on USA Network and SYFY in October, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the season. A teaser had given a glimpse of what was to come in the remaining four episodes.

In an earlier interview with ComicBook.com, Mancini explained that the decision to split Season 3 into two parts was prompted by the SAG-AFTRA strike, which had halted production before all eight episodes could be completed. Fortunately, they had filmed most of episode 3.05 and some of episode 3.06 before the shutdown. To wrap up the season, they needed to finish those two episodes and shoot the final two as well.

Mancini stated, “Once we saw that the strike was coming, we sort of like put all of our resources and time into finishing the first four… But we do have pieces of seven and eight already shot as well. So, when (the strike) happened, Universal said ‘Okay, well, this is what we can do.’ And fortuitously enough, the end of episode 4 really did lend itself (to a hiatus), and that was just coincidence, because that was always what was going to happen at the end of episode 4.”

As for where you can catch up on Chucky, Seasons 1 and 2 are available for streaming on Peacock and Shudder. The exciting news is that unlike previous seasons, new episodes of Chucky Season 3 will be available for streaming the day after they air on SYFY and USA Network. So, fans won’t have to wait long to see how the thrilling season unfolds.
