Harold & Kumar 4′ Confirmed By Film’s Screenwriters

Get ready to blaze up, because Harold & Kumar 4 is officially in the works!

According to the dynamic trio of Executive Producers – Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald – it’s a project they’re hell-bent on bringing to life. Comicbook.com’s Chris Killian sat down with them ahead of their Netflix series, Obliterated, and the Harold & Kumar franchise was on their minds.

These guys are on a roll, what with Cobra Kai and Obliterated keeping them busier than ever. But don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten our beloved stoner duo, Harold and Kumar, played by John Cho and Kal Penn. In fact, they recently had a dinner with the stars and the idea of another installment was hot on the menu.

“We are dying to make another one. We’re all talking about making another one. It’s really just a matter of time. It’s figuring out when it could all fit into all of our schedules. It’s something that we’re all determined to do. We just need to find the time to do it.”

Kal Penn and John Cho are equally eager to jump back into the toking adventure. Kal Penn even mentioned that they’ve got a significant anniversary coming up that could be the perfect time to make it happen. Both Harold and Kumar have come a long way since we last saw them, with kids in tow!

As for where we’ll get to see Harold & Kumar 4 premiere, Kal Penn makes a compelling case for it being a streaming movie. After all, what’s better than getting your munchies and enjoying the hilarity of these two buddies from the comfort of your own home? It’s the perfect recipe for a fantastic movie night.

“I feel like it’s gotta be a streamer because people just love watching [these movies] in the comfort of their own home on a Friday night at 2 a.m., which is more streaming ‘binge-able’ than it is going to the theater… We keep talking about it and are hoping in the next year or so to be able to find a good home,” Penn hinted.
