Chrisean Rock is setting the record straight amid allegations of assaulting one of Tamar Braxton’s backup singers, firmly maintaining her innocence and pointing out the absence of any video evidence of the alleged attack.

While she’s currently taking a break from social media, the rapper and reality star joined a friend’s Instagram Live on Tuesday (November 14) to address the incident.

Her friend, who was present at the show, questioned the inconsistencies in the story, asking why Tamar was invited to perform if nobody knew about it. They wondered why Chrisean had the microphone and why they were tasked with giving the DJ her music. Chrisean chimed in, saying, “People are out here doing evil things nowadays, and they’re so washed up and desperate that they don’t know what to do. That’s their last resort. So, good luck with that. I’m not here to deceive anyone. Forget that. I didn’t leave my son at home to be embarrassed. And then they tried to lie about the embarrassment and claim I hit someone.”

She continued, “Did I hit someone or get embarrassed? If I hit someone, there would’ve been a video!… They’re lying, and there’s no police report. It’s just clout chasing.”

On Friday (November 10), allegations surfaced that Chrisean Rock had assaulted backup singer James Wright Chanel backstage at one of Tamar’s shows, resulting in his hospitalization.

Rock vehemently denied these accusations, but Tamar later confirmed the incident and clarified that Chanel had indeed been assaulted.

In an Instagram video, Tamar stated, “I wasn’t planning to say anything out of respect for James and what he went through. When I say what happened, he was assaulted at my show, and it was by Chrisean, but there were a lot of events that I think were misunderstood.”

She added, “The reason I decided to speak out is, first of all, I care about my team; they’re all my friends, and we did this for the fans. I’m not a clout chaser; I don’t need that. My circle is very small.”

Braxton also confirmed that Rock was invited to perform at the show.

The “Braxton Family Values” star later expressed her exhaustion and frustration on social media, stating, “I’m tired, y’all. I don’t know about this pt2 tour. We’re all hurting, and if I didn’t say anything, I’m wrong. I said something, and I’m lying. I’m tired.”

She continued, “Meanwhile, James is at the dentist getting new teeth. Y’all leave me alone. I was only trying to show CR love. I still think she needs hugs and real people.”

Chrisean Rock was reportedly scheduled to appear on stage with Tamar during the concert but allegedly missed her cue to perform and later became upset backstage. Before deactivating her social media accounts, Rock denied allegations of assaulting Tamar’s backing singer.

“I’ve been through this before, and I know how it goes, with false narratives like ‘this happened,’ ‘she did that,'” she stated on Instagram Live. “I don’t know. I think it’s just clout chasing, honestly. I need to start protecting my name.”

James Wright Chanel also confirmed that he had been assaulted, saying in a brief video, “All I did was go to work, child… y’all already know what type of person I am… but let me tell you what nobody is going to do… nobody is going to take my joy, my praise, my worship… y’all should see my face, and I still have joy.”

What steps do you think should be taken to address and resolve the conflicting accounts and allegations surrounding the incident involving Chrisean Rock, Tamar Braxton, and backup singer James Wright Chanel, while ensuring justice and fairness for all parties involved? Leave us a comment.
