Kodak Black’s legal team is crying foul and calling his drug possession arrest a massive waste of taxpayer money. According to his lawyer via TMZ, Bradford Cohen, this whole case should be thrown out of the courtroom because it’s nothing more than a big misunderstanding.

Back in July 2022, the “Super Gremlin” rapper found himself in hot water in Ft. Lauderdale, facing one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of trafficking oxycodone. However, according to Kodak’s motion to dismiss, which TMZ Hip Hop obtained, tests on a sample of the pills he was carrying revealed they were nothing more than common Tylenol.

Cohen isn’t stopping there. He’s also making some serious accusations against the Broward Sheriff’s Office and FBI Special Agent James Mitchell, claiming bias against Kodak and even suggesting a cover-up.

Cohen alleges that prosecutors attempted to keep a body cam video hidden from the public eye, in which an officer was surveilling Kodak, stating he was “always ready” while the camera focused on the officer’s firearm.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Cohen points out that the pills that were actually tested were destroyed during the process, and officials failed to provide any report despite the results showing they were nothing more than your run-of-the-mill over-the-counter pain medication.

According to Kodak’s legal team, this was all part of what they’re calling a “coordinated takedown” of their client. Now, they’re demanding that the entire case be thrown out. It seems like this legal drama is far from over, and the courtroom showdown promises to be nothing short of intense.

What are your thoughts on the allegations made by Kodak Black’s legal team, including the claim of a coordinated takedown and a cover-up? Do you think the case should be thrown out based on the information presented by his lawyer? Leave us a comment below.
