It’s been four months since Tiffany Gomas, famously known as the ‘crazy plane lady,’ made headlines for her in-flight meltdown. In a recent interview with Inside Edition, the 39-year-old reflected on the infamous incident and bravely took her first flight since the viral ordeal.

Back in July 2021, Gomas made waves on social media when she had a dramatic outburst on an American Airlines flight departing from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. She became agitated, insisting she needed to leave the plane, and even accused a fellow passenger of stealing her AirPods, which apparently sparked the episode.

In her recent interview, Gomas candidly admitted, “I was a brat. I do want to address that. I was a brat,” and expressed remorse for her behavior, saying, “I feel horrible for everyone that was on that plane.”

However, her recent flight from Dallas to New York appeared to go smoothly, and she remained in her seat, enjoying a soda, sending emails, and arriving at her destination without incident. When asked if she was experiencing flashbacks during the flight, she laughed it off and said, “No, I try to block it out completely.”

Gomas also revealed that she had tried to avoid watching the viral video of her meltdown because it was detrimental to her mental health. She explained, “I really tried not to watch [the videos] because it was not good for my mental health at all. I had an altercation, and it was a really, really bad moment. I’m not proud of it at all.”

During the incident, Gomas had accused a family member of stealing her AirPods, which led to her disruptive behavior on the plane. She repeatedly expressed concerns about the flight’s safety and tried to prevent it from taking off. Authorities intervened, and while she wasn’t arrested, she was banned from American Airlines.

When asked about her infamous line, “That motherf–ker is not real,” Gomas clarified that it was a figure of speech and meant to convey that the person in question was not being genuine. She didn’t provide further details about the altercation due to legal reasons.

As Tiffany Gomas takes her first steps back into air travel, it appears she’s learned from her past actions and is looking to move forward from the viral incident that brought her notoriety.”
