Caturday might have slipped through our paws, but the party ain’t over yet!

Chris Pratt, the dude who rocked our screens as Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (which, by the way, made bank at the box office), is about to become the voice behind the most lasagna-loving, Monday-hating cat in town—Garfield!

You know Pratt’s got some serious animation chops, having lent his vocal talents to big hits like Pixar’s Onward and The LEGO Movie. But here’s the juicy scoop: In 2021, they dropped the bombshell that he’d be voicing Garfield, and today, the Garfield Movie official account gave us a sneak peek at a purr-fect poster and teased the trailer drop TOMORROW!

“Finally, a reason not to hit snooze on the Monday alarm. Trailer tomorrow. #GarfieldMovie,” they teased, throwing in a paw-some poster clip for good measure. Check it out below, folks!

But wait, there’s more! Pratt’s not going solo on this catventure. The movie’s got a lineup that’s hotter than a Lasagna fresh out of the oven! We’re talking Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, Ving Rhames, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang!

It’s a reunion that’ll make your tail stand on end! Goldstein and Waddingham are no strangers; they’ve been serving up Emmy-winning magic together on Ted Lasso. Meanwhile, Yang and Strong have been lighting up the Saturday Night Live stage. This movie’s got all the star power you could ask for!

And who’s the genius behind this feline frenzy? None other than Mark Dindal, the mastermind behind Disney classics like The Emperor’s New Groove and Chicken Little. The script? It’s in good paws with Paul A. Kaplan, David Reynolds, and Mark Torgrove.

Now, if you think this is just another cash-grab remake, think again! Garfield’s roots run deep. It all started with Jim Davis’s iconic comic strip in 1978. And remember those Bill Murray Garfield movies from back in the day? Well, we’re about to witness a whole new era of lasagna feasting!

As if that’s not enough Pratt for you, he recently spilled the beans on Jimmy Kimmel Live! about almost giving up on Marvel. Apparently, he auditioned for all the Marvel gigs, even the sidekick roles, and got turned down. Talk about persistence, right?

So, keep those eyes peeled, peeps! Garfield is back, and it’s going to be a cat-tastic ride! Stay tuned for more paw-some updates. Meow!
