Jenelle Evans’ 14-year-old son, Jace, seems to be in a better place these days as he maintains his distance from his mom and her husband, David Eason, according to sources close to the situation.

Reportedly, Jace is currently living with Jenelle’s mother, Barbara, under the custody of Child Protective Services. Interestingly, Barbara has also cut ties with Jenelle and David, leaving the teen in the care of his grandmother.

The situation took a serious turn when TMZ initially reported that David Eason faced child abuse charges related to Jace. The charges alleged that Eason had roughed up the teen, resulting in visible marks on Jace’s neck, as detailed in court documents. It was noted that these injuries were not accidental and were linked to the day Jace had fled his home by slipping out of his bedroom window.

Jace appears to be content living with his grandma, and the environment feels like home to him. Jenelle only regained custody of Jace earlier this year, which means he has primarily been under Barbara’s care throughout his childhood.

Recently, Jace also started attending a new school after a period of absence. He had been reported as a runaway following a school-related incident in August.

As for David Eason, he is scheduled to appear in court at the end of the month to address the child abuse misdemeanor charges filed against him. The situation remains complex and continues to unfold.

Given the complexity of Jace’s situation and the ongoing legal proceedings, what are your thoughts on how the authorities should balance the best interests of the child with the rights and responsibilities of the parents involved? Share your perspectives on this matter in the comments below.
