The highly-anticipated teaser trailer for Disney Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has just hit the scene, and it’s causing quite the emotional stir!

Fans of the original 2015 hit, “Inside Out,” will be delighted to see their favorite emotions returning for another round of adventures in Riley’s mind. The film introduced us to Riley and her five mixed emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. As Riley navigated the challenges of moving to a new location and growing up, her emotions provided us with a hilarious and heartwarming insight into the rollercoaster of feelings that we all experience.

“Inside Out” made quite the splash upon its release, boasting the second-best Friday opening for a Pixar film with a whopping $34.2 million, second only to the beloved “Toy Story 3.” Naturally, this success led to the greenlighting of a sequel, and now, “Inside Out 2” is on the horizon!

In the teaser, we get a glimpse of the familiar gang, including the voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira, all reprising their roles. But the big surprise comes in the form of a new emotion: Anxiety! Multi-talented actress Maya Hawke, known for her work in “Astroid City” and “Stranger Things,” lends her voice to this intriguing addition.

Directed by Kelsey Mann, who takes the reins from Pete Docter, “Inside Out 2” promises to deliver the same heartwarming and comedic charm as its predecessor. The teaser, just a minute and a half long, offers a tantalizing glimpse into the sequel’s premise. After Riley celebrates her 13th birthday, her headquarters undergoes a wild demolition to make room for the new emotion, Anxiety, who cheekily hints that she’s not arriving solo.

So, what’s “Inside Out 2” all about? The official synopsis reads: “The little voices inside Riley’s head know her inside and out—but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixar’s ‘Inside Out 2’ introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. ‘Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,’ said Mann. ‘That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.'”

Get ready to journey back into the mind of the newly minted teenager, Riley, as her headquarters undergoes unexpected changes. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who have been running the show, find themselves in uncharted territory with the arrival of Anxiety. Maya Hawke joins the star-studded cast, alongside Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira.

“Inside Out 2,” directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, will exclusively hit theaters in the summer of 2024. It’s an emotional rollercoaster you won’t want to miss!
