Patrick Dempsey Named People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2023

Patrick Dempsey made a name for himself for his career-defining role in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and even now, he continues to be a well-known name in Hollywood. He is certainly a very attractive man as Dempsey has now been officially named People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2023.

Patrick Dempsey has officially been crowned People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for the year 2023, with the announcement gracing the publication’s cover. The 57-year-old actor graciously accepted the honor, taking over the title from last year’s winner, Chris Evans.

While speaking to the outlet, Patrick Dempsey commented on this huge achievement. He also expressed his gratitude for the recognition, making it clear he will use it as a platform for something positive.

“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life. It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.

And then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid! I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good. I was completely shocked.”

Dempsey has been married to his wife, Jillian Dempsey, since 1999. The couple shares three children: daughter Talula and twin boys Sullivan and Darby, aged 21 and 16, respectively. He also joked about the teasing he would get after receiving such a recognition.

‘‘They’re just going to make fun of me and pick on me and figure out every reason why I shouldn’t be,” he said of his family. “Which is good, they keep me young.”

Patrick Dempsey joins the likes of Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Ryan Reynolds, and Chris Hemsworth. Other worthwhile past sexy men include Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum and David Beckham. Therefore, Dempsey is certainly in good company after receiving such a recognition.
