The legendary rapper 2Pac, who passed away but continues to influence the world of music and culture, has received a posthumous honor in his hometown of Oakland, California. A section of MacArthur Boulevard, close to where Tupac Shakur once lived, has been renamed “Tupac Shakur Way.”

According to the Associated Press, the renaming ceremony took place on Friday, November 3, and was attended by Tupac’s family, including his sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur. Additionally, several notable figures from the hip-hop community, such as MC Hammer, were present to pay their respects.
