Conor McGregor is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the history of the world of MMA. His star power is undeniable as he always breaks pay-per-view records for any event he headlines. That being said, McGregor is not sure if he wants to go back to Hollywood after ‘Road House’.

While McGregor has been away from the MMA world for well over a year now, he has kept himself busy in quite a few ways. The Notorious One is set to make his acting debut in a remake of Patrick Swayze’s 1989 classic, Road House.

He will be sharing the screen with Jake Gyllenhaal, a Golden Globe awardee. The filming also features Jay Hieron, a former UFC fighter, and a scene was recently shot during the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC 285.

While speaking on The MMA Hour, the former UFC two-division champion talked about his time preparing for the film. McGregor stated that film-making demands excruciatingly long hours and hard work. McGregor added that he is not eager to go back to Hollywood after this.

Oh, geez it was tough Ariel, it was very, very tough, very long days… It made me feel that everything else was easy. See right now what I’m doing, I’m doing a lot of work going around. The Ultimate Fighter is a lot of work, even training camp and all the rest of it, all that pales in comparison to the work that it takes to make a movie… Am I eager to get back in there? Not necessarily.”

While McGregor’s role in the film is a mystery, it is evident he will have a significant role in the film. It remains to be seen whether McGregor’s acting chops will be up to the mark, whenever the film releases.
