Lady Gaga’s fans will be delighted to hear that the iconic singer is set to perform at the 2023 Academy Awards. Reports now confirms that Lady Gaga will make a surprise appearance to sing “Hold My Hand” from the upcoming movie Top Gun: Maverick.

This news comes as a surprise, as earlier reports claimed that Lady Gaga wouldn’t perform at the show. The Oscars executive producer Glenn Weiss stated that Gaga couldn’t perform due to scheduling conflicts.

“We have a great relationship with Lady Gaga and her camp. She is in the middle of shooting a movie [Joker: Folie à Deux] right now. Here, we are honoring the movie industry and what it takes to make a movie after a bunch of back and forth… It didn’t feel like she can get a performance to the caliber that we’re used to with her and that she is used to. So, she is not going to perform on the show.”

However, Lady Gaga will surprise everyone with her performance at the show. According to Variety, the singer will attend the event and perform the song from the Top Gun sequel.
