Bruce Willis quit acting after being diagnosed with aphasia earlier in 2022. And recently, the actor’s family announced that Bruce Willis has frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). However, his wife, Emma Heming is now keeping the record straight after she was criticized by netizens that she was using Willis’ diagnosis for ‘five minutes’ fame.

Heming has been married to the “Die Hard” actor since 2009. She recently revealed that her husband’s battle with aphasia has progressed into Frontotemporal Dementia. Since then, Heming has made it her goal to raise awareness for Willis’ condition. Heming took to her Instagram on Wednesday to share a video where she stated, “I just saw something about me getting my ‘five minutes,’ which is great, which means that you’re listening.”

“So, I’m going to take my five minutes and I’m gonna turn it into 10 because I’m always going to advocate for my husband.”

Heming pledged to “raise awareness” about the condition and “for caregivers, who are unsung heroes out there.”

“And then I’m going to turn my grief and my anger and my sadness into something good around something that feels less than. Watch this space because I didn’t come to play.”

“HELL YES! I am so so proud of you!” Scout Willis, the actor’s daughter, wrote in the comments section. Willis’ family members revealed in a lengthy statement from last month that his condition has gotten worse. “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis,” Willis’ family members stated on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration website.

“FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know.”

Both his current spouse Emma and their two daughters Mabel and Evelyn, as well as his ex-wife Demi Moore and her three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, all signed the note. However, our thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce’s family and close friends during this difficult period. For more updates, keep checking Thirsty For News.
