He is also set to star in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and now the first look for his first character has been given.
Cena has undoubtedly honed his craft as an actor in Hollywood, consistently delivering hit after hit and pushing his boundaries as a performer. His career-defining performance as Peacemaker in both The Suicide Squad and its spinoff is a testament to his talent and versatility as an actor.
As recently reported, the former WWE Champion will be lending his voice to the role of Rocksteady in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” movie.
Paramount Pictures’ official YouTube channel finally dropped the first trailer for the upcoming film, which also featured the first look at John Cena as Rocksteady. Needless to say, fans are excited for his upcoming film.
The movie will feature Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon who will voice the four ninja turtles Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael respectively. The voice cast also features Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko and Maya Rudolph.
The role of Rocksteady was previously voiced by Sheamus in 2016 when he voiced the character in the 2016 film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.” We’ll have to see how the film will turn out.
