Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are teaming up once again for the upcoming television series reboot of the 2001 film, The Wash. Director of the original film, DJ Pooh, confirmed the news on Twitter, sharing an image of an orange pail and hanging car freshener with The Wash logo. “It all comes out in ‘The Wash,’” Pooh wrote, announcing the upcoming project.

The Wash followed the story of two roommates, Dee Loc and Sean, played by Snoop and Dre respectively, as they take up jobs at a car wash to pay rent. The 2001 comedy featured an impressive cast including Eminem, Ludacris, and Shaq, and was accompanied by a star-studded soundtrack featuring Truth Hurts, Xzbit, and songs by Snoop and Dre.

The TV series is expected to continue the story of Dee Loc and Sean, but no release date has been announced yet. Fans of the original film continue to reference it to this day, with Blxst and Bino Rideaux paying homage in their recent music video for “Movie.”

Snoop and Dre are also working on their upcoming album, Missionary, marking their first collaboration since the release of Doggystyle three decades ago. The duo’s partnership is known to be a powerhouse, with Snoop referring to them as a “dynamic duo” on Instagram when announcing the new project. The album is set to release this summer.
