John Cena is a legendary professional wrestler who has left a profound mark on the industry. He is widely regarded as one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history. That being said, he has already etched his name in Hollywood in a huge way and is now set to star in yet another movie soon.
The Leader of Cenation has truly honed his craft as an actor in Hollywood, churning out hit after hit that truly pushes his boundaries as an actor. This includes his career-defining performance as Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad and its subsequent Peacemaker spinoff.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon’s upcoming action comedy Grand Death Lotto has a star-studded cast, including John Cena, Awkwafina, and Simu Liu. The movie, directed by Paul Feig, is set in a near-future California where the lottery has a new twist – if someone kills the announced winner before sundown, they can legally claim the prize.
The film promises to be a high-octane thrill ride, combining action, comedy, and suspense in a unique and exciting way. With a talented cast and an innovative premise, Grand Death Lotto is sure to be a hit with audiences looking for a fresh take on the action genre.
“New LA transplant Katie (Awkwafina) accidentally finds herself with the winning ticket and must join forces with amateur jackpot protector Noel (Cena) to make it to sundown in order to claim her multi-billion dollar prize, all while dealing with Noel’s protection rival Louis Lewis (Liu), who also wants to get her to sundown in order to claim his rich protection commission.”
John Cena will continue to shine in Hollywood and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. In the meantime, he is set to make his return on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW. We’ll have to see how his upcoming appearance will turn out.
