Harry Styles is currently more well-known as a solo artist than he was as a member of the band “One Direction,” thanks to his feminine aesthetics. However, previously, there were rumors that he deliberately spat on Chris Pine at the Don’t Worry Darling premiere, which Harry denied. And now Pine is keeping the records straight.
The actor clarified that his “kind” co-star Harry Styles did not spit on him at the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere in September 2022. The actor asserted, “Harry did not spit on me,” in a video released by Esquire on Wednesday. “Harry is a very kind guy.”
However, Pine acknowledged that in viral videos, “it did look, indeed, like” the former member of One Direction spat in his face. “I think Harry leaned down and said, ‘It’s just words isn’t it?’” Pine said, claiming that the performer knelt down to tell him “a little joke.”
“We were all jet lagged and trying to answer questions. And sometimes when you’re doing these press things, your brain goes befuddled and you start speaking gibberish, so we had a joke: ‘It’s just words.’”
Last year, Pine’s representative initially denied the rumors, describing them as “ridiculous.” The statement read, “This is a … complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation.”
“There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
Regarding Styles, the actor made fun of “Spitgate” while in New York City. “It is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back here,” the “X Factor” alum stated during one of his concerts at Madison Square Garden. Keep an eye on Thirsty For News to get the latest updates.
