WWE Superstars Have Mixed Reactions To Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Rihanna took the Super Bowl halftime show this year, and it was a solo act. Last year’s performance was taken up by several A-List performers, but this year only needed one artist to fill the time. That performance got a bit of a mixed reaction.

WWE Superstars and other pro wrestlers are always a good gauge for response. They are an eclectic bunch with diverse tastes.

Although Bianca Belair and WWE referee DA Brewer seemed to enjoy the Rihanna performance, it wasn’t a winner with everyone. Some people straight-up dragged the halftime show performance, and that includes Bill DeMott who reminded himself of something when he saw the performance.

The Iron Sheik tweeted out in his all-caps fashion to say: “F*CK YOUR UMBRELLA.” Obviously, Rihanna did not thrill the Iron Sheik.

If you care what Dutch Mantell had to say, he tweeted out to say, “Rihanna??? Not a huge fan but actually expected more from the SuperBowl halftime show. Prince, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney…were better. Rihanna got hyped so much but under delivered. Comments?”

We’ll have to see who gets the Super Bowl halftime show next year. This year’s show is in the rearview mirror, and the jury’s still out about how it all went down.
