WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has been part of the AEW since 2020. Before that, Roberts worked hard to make himself a big name in WWE. His cerebral style of promos struck fear into the hearts of his opponents. That being said, it seems Roberts once tried to rescue an injured alligator in his car.

Jake Roberts worked in WWE for a long time and knows how Vince McMahon functions. Roberts even blasted Vince McMahon previously for humiliating people in WWE. Naturally, Roberts has a ton of interesting stories to tell fans from his days as a pro wrestler.

In fact, Jake Roberts has seen a lot of bizarre things over the years, especially during his time as a pro wrestler. However, it seems Roberts ended up telling yet another story about his adventures in the pro wrestling world.

While speaking on The Snake Pit, Jake Roberts talked about yet another bizarre story. He was traveling in a Plymouth station wagon with other wrestlers when someone hit an alligator with their vehicle. Rather than leaving the injured animal to its fate, Roberts and the other wrestlers took it upon themselves to try to help the alligator.

This is not a scenario that many people would expect to find themselves in, but Roberts’s quick thinking and compassion for animals make it a testament to his unique character.

“We back up and get out and make sure it’s dead, and throw it in the back of that fing car. We were just going to take him home man, it’s like a seven or eight-foot alligator or something,” he said. “There was room for it right there, you can reach over the seat and pat him and everything.” Despite the fact that they thought the alligator was dead, that wasn’t quite true, as they heard the large reptile make a noise, which is not an ideal situation when you’re tapped inside a car with it. “All of a sudden we hear it, that mother*** wasn’t quite dead, no he was coming back,” Roberts said. “So we had to go ahead and kill it, man.”

Jake Roberts also believes modern pro wrestling took out a big tradition that used to be the norm back in the day. Roberts will continue to share more bizarre stories about his larger-than-life experiences and fans can’t wait to hear them.
