‘Teen Mom’ Star Ryan Edwards Arrested For Harassment And Drug Possession

Ryan Edwards rose to fame in 2009 on the first season of “16 & Pregnant” alongside his then-girlfriend Maci Bookout. However, he has recently found himself in hot water after he was arrested for allegedly harassing his current wife, Mackenzie Edwards after authorities had issued a restraining order against him.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reported in a press release that the reality star was also arrested for drug and controlled substance possession. The news comes after Ryan criticized his wife and posted a graphic image of her on Instagram on Thursday. In a now-deleted post, the former reality star wrote in the caption of a picture of what appeared to be Mackenzie’s chest,

“If you guys have never seen a spineless slut this is one. They take your money sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife to [sic]. God what a joke. It’s sad really.”

According to the press release, Mackenzie reported her husband’s posting of “revealing photos of her to his Instagram account” to the police early on Friday morning. The officers said, “The photographs did not show nudity, but were revealing.”

Besides that, Mackenzie asserted that Ryan made an effort to get in touch with her father to let Mackenzie know he would be picking up his belongings from their house. This was a violation of the protective order issued on Thursday.

In addition to the allegations, police reported that Ryan had an active harassment warrant that was issued on Wednesday and identified Mackenzie as the victim. The TV personality was consequently arrested at his place of employment. He was charged with additional offenses after police claimed to have discovered him in possession of two bags of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
