WWE is prepared to bring their Money in the Bank pay-per-view to London’s O2 Arena on July 1st, but that’s not the only big show coming for UK fans. The company is also planning to host their first-ever SmackDown from the UK, making history in the process.

WWE likes to tout their history-making moments. To celebrate this new addition to their summer schedule, the company was not shy about celebrating this new achievement. SmackDown has aired from the UK in the past, but it was always taped, so they wanted to make sure fans knew about this momentous occasion.

In a press release that they sent out, WWE provided a bit more information about the upcoming June 30th show.

Due to the incredible early response for Money In The Bank ticket pre-registrations at The O2 in London on Saturday, July 1, WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that SmackDown will also emanate from The O2 the night before – Friday, June 30.

This marks the first time ever that SmackDown will broadcast live and in primetime from the UK at 8pm local on BT Sport.

WWE and O2 presales for combo tickets will be available on Wednesday, February 22 at 12pm GMT at Ticketmaster.co.uk and AXS.com. Fans can register now to receive an exclusive presale offer by visiting https://www.wwe.com/mitb2023-presale-registration.

WWE fans know that the O2 Arena has hosted RAW and SmackDown before, and they were also prepared for spoilers. Thanks to the fact that we’re getting a live episode this time around, spoilers won’t be a factor this time around.

UK fans are very passionate about pro wrestling, and their pandemic restrictions kept live events from going down in a big way for an extended period of time. Now that they are able to gather once again, it seems that WWE is going to give them quite a show.

Let’s get to know each other. Me? Well, I have a master’s degree in Journalism from Marshall University, but I don’t really like to talk about that. I was a stand-up comedian for eight years, but I don’t really like to talk about that either. I write a lot. I once worked for a company that writes blurbs for online gambling games. Those paid $.75 each. So, if you frequent that kind of thing, then you’re welcome for the description for Biker Chicken Slots or Crazy Granny’s Scratchers. I wish I had more to tell, but due to my crippling anxiety and Tourette’s Syndrome, that has become increasingly worse over the years, I tend to keep to myself.
