Terrell Owens’ Accuser No Longer Facing Charges For False Report

Terrell Owens made a name for himself as part of the Dallas Cowboys, where he was a wide receiver. Despite being 49 years old, that clearly has not slowed down Owens’ passion for the game. That being said, one of Owens’ accuser will no longer be facing charges for a false report.

The individual who was charged with making false accusations against Terrell Owens to the police during a contentious encounter between the two in August, is now exonerated in her criminal case. According to TMZ Sports, Caitlin Davis’ misdemeanor charge arising from the incident has been dismissed.

The Broward State Attorney’s Office has officially announced that the case has been dismissed, effective February 2nd. A representative from the office stated that, based on the information provided, prosecutors had determined that they could not establish sufficient evidence to sustain the charge. The documents reveal that the prosecution deemed that they were “not able to prove the elements of the charged crime with the facts that were presented.”

Previously, Davis had faced a single count of making false reports, a misdemeanor offense, after Owens accused her of fabricating a story to the police following a heated argument on August 3rd, in a neighborhood in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Owens claimed that Davis had lied to the police, stating that he had threatened her after she scolded him for his reckless driving on the street.

Owens had recorded part of their confrontation and the footage captured Davis shouting at the former NFL player, “You’re a Black man approaching a white woman!” This recording provided evidence that challenged Davis’ account of the events leading to the argument.

When the charge was initially brought against Davis, the Hall of Fame wide receiver expressed his gratitude and referred to the situation as “KAREN IS REAL.” However, he has yet to make a public statement regarding the recent disposition of Davis’ case.
