The Rock is one of the most beloved people on the planet, and likely the most recognizable face alive today. His mother has been a big part of his life story, but she recently had a bit of a tragedy.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mother, Ata Johnson, survived a serious car crash in Los Angeles. The Rock got on Instagram to let fans know all about this situation. Thankfully, Ata Johnson is doing okay after such a tragic and dangerous event.

She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.

This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide.

She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.

The Rock also shared a photo of his mother’s crushed car to illustrate the message. Thankfully, Ata Johnson is doing okay, because The Rock certainly loves his mother.

Ata Johnson was born in the South Pacific island nation of Samoa and raised in a traditional Samoan family. Ata married Rocky Johnson, a professional wrestler, and the couple had two children together, including Dwayne.
