The world of UFC is certainly one of the most punishing sports in the world right now. The harsh condition certainly takes its toll on numerous fighters and that includes taking a mental toll as well. Unfortunately, it seems an ex-UFC fighter was recently arrested after he attacked police officers who responded to a 911 call.
Ex-UFC fighter Anthony Rocco has been arrested after he allegedly became aggressive and started assaulting police officers on December 21, 2022. According to a report by MMAFighting, the former UFC fighter was inebriated when two officers arrived at his house in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The police officers arrived after a call to 911 was dropped in the middle of the conversation. As revealed by the police officers, Rocco immediately appeared aggressive and locked eyes with the officers before allegedly squaring them up.
The reports stated that the former UFC fighter shouted multiple expletives at them while trying to prevent them from stepping onto his property. He said a lot more after getting handcuffed.
“Get off my f***king property now!…I don’t care, and if you touch me will kick your ass.” He also yelled, “I hate cops and you can suck my d***.
You think you’re a bad man, if you take me out of these cuffs l will kick your ass.“
After he was subdued, the cops found a woman crying in a car who was just hoping that she could leave the situation. Anthony Rocco later posted a $5,000 bond and was given a no-contact order.
The former UFC fighter is due to appear in court in February where he will plead not guilty. We will keep you updated on this going case. In the meantime, keep checking back at Thirsty For News for all your daily news needs.
