Vince McMahon’s shocking return to WWE last week turned the whole pro wrestling world upside down, as the industry is still feeling the effects of what transpired last night. Following his return, it really did not take McMahon much time to regain control of the company’s Board of Directors. He is also in the process of finalizing WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia. It seems quite a few jobs could be lost if the Saudi Arabia deal goes through.

A report then emerged that WWE has agreed to sell the company to Saudi Arabia. It did not come as a surprise that news of WWE’s deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia caused outrage among fans.

Many people in general hated the fact that WWE is working with Saudi Arabia due to the nature of the country. Despite that, WWE decided that money is what matters the most and its sale is more or less done now.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about WWE getting sold to Saudi Arabia. Meltzer stated that the sale could mean that several WWE employees will lose their jobs.

”WWE without the rights fees is not worth anything close to what they’re getting. But there’s no, maybe, Vince is sure, he’s got his connections there.

Maybe he’s already talked to the people at Fox and at NBCU and they’ve assured him that he’s ok. I don’t see them cancelling him right now. It’s a very problematic company at this point. There’s gonna be jobs lost.”

In fact, WWE talent will also be done with the company if the Saudi Arabia deal goes through. The WWE Creative team has also not been informed of the company’s sale to Saudi Arabia.

As previously reported, WWE has agreed on their sale with Saudi Arabia in principle. Keep checking back here at Ringside News as we continue monitoring this ongoing situation.
