Ron Jeremy Deemed Unfit To Stand Trial Due To Dementia

Ron Jeremy is facing trial on multiple accusations of sexual assault. The famed pornographic actor appeared in 2,000 adult movies over his lengthy career. Jeremy is looking at over twenty counts of rape. However, it seems he will not stand trial due to dementia.

In 2020, Jeremy said he couldn’t wait to appear in court to prove his innocence. According to TMZ, Ron Jeremy has been deemed unfit to stand trial for dozens of counts of sexual assault, as prosecutors have found he’s suffering from clinical memory loss.

Jeremy is believed to have severe dementia, a diagnosis reached after consultations from medical experts enlisted by both the prosecution and the defense, respectively. It was also said that he is not faking memory loss.

The Times has reported, citing an L.A. County Deputy D.A., that Jeremy will be declared incompetent as early as Jan. 17, which means all proceedings against him will be halted and he will be sent to a state-run hospital.

The D.A. is keeping the door open for future prosecution if Ron Jeremy shows improvement, but that might not happen anytime soon. Jeremy was hit with a 30-count indictment in 2021 that included allegations from 21 different women. Unsurprisingly, all the victims are upset over this verdict, calling it justice eluded.
